The vineyards of Waving Tree are well manicured. Leaf pulling from the eastside of the canopy was done early to afford the fruit ample sun and control pest and disease. The west side of the canopy leaf pulling was far less to afford protection from the hot sun in the eastern portion of the Columbia Valley that could cause burned fruit. Canopy floors are always well managed and groomed. The vines yielded small berries in tight clusters with dark purple skins. Fruit was left to ripen on the vine until mid-October when berries are just starting to raisin.
